Basic Mapping and Photogrammetry Course
Our comprehensive 2-day course delves into the core principles of aerial drone imaging for mapping…
IPROSURV ACADEMY | FOUR-DAY IN-PERSON TRAINING
Work towards your A2 CofC and GVC qualifications through four days
of instructor-led theory and practical drone training.
No Previous Flying Experience Required.
Learn directly with our instructors, combining classroom theory
and practical instruction throughout the programme.
Connect your learning with aircraft handling, flight preparation,
planning and practical operating procedures.
Work towards both your A2 CofC and GVC, subject to completing
the required learning and assessments.
You do not need to arrive as an experienced drone pilot.
Our combined course brings theory and practical instruction together
over four days, helping you develop your understanding and flying
skills with guidance from our instructors.
Whether you are developing a new skill, adding drone capability to
your existing role or preparing to operate within your organisation,
the programme provides a structured route towards qualification.
Understand airspace, operating responsibilities, site assessment
and the decisions involved in preparing a drone flight.
Explore aircraft systems, performance, weather and human factors
that influence safe operating decisions.
Develop aircraft handling, orientation, controlled manoeuvres,
pre-flight checks and practical operating procedures.
Classroom learning and practical instruction are combined across the
four days. This helps you relate the theory to the decisions and
actions involved in operating an aircraft.
Individuals starting their drone journey, employees developing a
new workplace capability and organisations preparing an internal
drone team.
No previous drone flying experience is required to join.
Tell us about your intended application and we can help you check
that the course is appropriate before booking.
The combined programme supports you through the learning and
preparation for both qualifications. Certificates are awarded
following successful completion of the applicable requirements
and assessments.
A qualification demonstrates pilot competence; it does not provide
unrestricted permission to fly. Your aircraft, location, operating
category and any required operational authorisation must also be
considered when planning work.
Iprosurv combines training with practical experience delivering
inspection, surveying and data capture work.
Our instructors connect the course content with the planning,
preparation and operating decisions involved in real projects.
You can also discuss the next stage of your development, including
mapping and photogrammetry training, equipment selection or
building a wider organisational drone capability.
Our team will confirm your joining instructions, any registration
or preparation requirements, equipment arrangements and the
course timetable before you attend.
Practical flying is subject to suitable weather, site conditions
and safety assessments. We will explain the arrangements for
your selected course.

Tell us about your experience, intended drone use and preferred
training dates. Our team will help you identify the next step.
Tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will recommend the right service, training or equipment.
