6. Is the practical flight assessment mandatory for GVC renewal?

Yes, all remote pilots must retake the practical flight assessment unless they can demonstrate verifiable recent flight activity and competency through logs or records. Exemptions may apply, depending on your flying history.

7. What is the pass mark for the theory test?

To pass the theory test, you must score at least 75%. Iprosurv’s learning platform ensures you are well-prepared to achieve this benchmark.

Are there any exemptions from the practical flying test?

Exemptions may apply if you meet specific criteria, and can provide all of the information listed below. However, all remote pilots must complete a theory test during renewal.

The CAA have stated that renewal exams should no be conducted any earlier than six months prior to the expiry date on the certificate held. The new certificate will carry on from the expiry of your current certificate so you do not lose any time on your certificate.

12. Is the final theory exam invigilated

The theory exam is invigilated as per CAA guidelines for Quality Audit of the RAE process and exam procedure, the exam can be carried out online or in person at our location.
