Salary: Up to £32000

Iprosurv has been a leader in commercial drone operations since 2014. We pioneered drone adoption across a range of sectors – from construction and insurance to emergency services and property. We work with global brands, and national organisations, delivering on-demand drone solutions through a trusted supply chain of certified operators.

We’re also a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Recognised Assessment Entity (RAE) offering both standard and bespoke drone training solutions to individuals and organisations across the UK.

Due to continued business growth, we’re looking for a motivated, technically skilled Drone Instructor to join our small but ambitious training team.

This isn’t a tick-box teaching role. You’ll work closely with our Head of Training to deliver high-impact drone training – including standard certifications (A2 CofC, GVC) and tailored, industry-specific training programmes for commercial clients.

You’ll primarily be delivering training using quadcopters (DJI and similar platforms), with a strong focus on real-world operations, mapping, and safe commercial flying practices.

This is a chance to shape course delivery, support learner engagement, and contribute to the ongoing development of the UK’s commercial drone workforce.

The role

Deliver A2 CofC, GVC, and Mapping/Topography training to learners of varying experience levels

Support the Head of Training in developing and refining course materials

Deliver both standardised qualifications and bespoke courses tailored to specific client needs

Assist with learner recruitment, onboarding and marketing (e.g. updating LinkedIn, learner outreach)

Contribute to the continuous improvement of course content, structure and delivery

Provide technical support for mission planning, mapping workflows, and data capture techniques

Stay up to date with latest CAA regulations and best practices in UAS operations

What You Bring

  • CAA A2 Certificate of Competency and GVC certification
  • Experience with quadcopters (especially DJI platforms) in operational or training environments
  • Deep understanding of UAS sector workflows – mapping, surveying, automated flight, data collection
  • Confident instructor able to deliver training from day one
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Full UK driving licence and local to the region (must be able to travel between training sites)

Bonus If You Have

A teaching qualification or demonstrable teaching/training experience

Experience developing or delivering bespoke commercial training programmes

Knowledge of software such as Terra, Pix4D, DroneDeploy, or photogrammetry platforms

Experience working in the education or training sector

Strong technical understanding of DJI platforms and supporting tools

What you’ll get

  • Competitive base salary and inclusion of company quarterly bonus scheme
  • Clear progression path to Senior Instructor
  • Training on Iprosurv’s courses and products; CPD and certifications supported
  • Flexible working with supportive, high-energy team culture
  • 28 days’ holiday including bank holidays
  • Company pension

Working pattern

Standard hours Monday–Friday. Occasional travel for meetings and onsite training locations

At Iprosurv, you’re not just another instructor. You’ll be part of a tight-knit, expert team that’s pushing the boundaries of what drone training can deliver. We offer:

  • A role with real-world impact and national reach
  • A chance to shape how drone training is delivered in the commercial sector
  • A collaborative team with genuine autonomy and input
